SZC planned road closures

Sizewell C offers their own tracker. This provides the latest details on road closures, abnormal loads movement, traffic management & footpath closures. In addition to this, specific closures that are issued are listed below.

SIZEWELL C (Nuclear Generating Station) intends to make an order closing B1122 Middleton Road, Yoxford Road and Leiston Road in phases from its junction with A12 to immediately east of its junction with Potter's Street to facilitate works associated with the B1122 road improvements scheme. It is intended that the closure will operate on weeknights (Monday to Thursday) between the hours of 7pm to 5am, from 1st – 30th June 2026.

Willow Marsh Lane, Darsham is closed until June 2026 to enable the construction of the Northern Park & Ride roundabout and site. Diversion in place via Walpole Road, A144, A12.

Abbey Lane, Leiston is closed until January 2027 to enable the construction of the new railway line. Diversions in place via Harrow Lane, Hawthorn Road and Pretty Road.
